HOMEWORLD:
These mysterious nomadic creatures travel without the benefit (or hindrance)
of starships, and communicate only in song. The Elowan
seem to be the only race in the sector to have knowledge of the Minstrels,
also referred to as the Delasa'Alia. They believe them to be extremely
old and wise. The Velox are also aware of the Delasa'Alia
but have little opinion except that they are strange. The Spemin
claim to find them pointless and that they destroy them out of hand.
The Minstrels' song indicates that they are the only sentient race in
the sector to be aware of the true nature of the Ancients, as well as
the meaning behind the waves of flaring suns.
The Minstrels' song in its entirely is as follows:

THAT WHICH IS ANCIENT MAY BE NEW,

THE VIRUS SPREAD LIKE BURNING FIRE,
THE SEA OF DREAD ROSE HIGHER AND HIGHER.
